The code generated from this tool has comments, which means many of the elements are explained. Please read through the code - even if you have no idea what it means, I have explained it.

This time I made a graphic to accompany its basic structure, to help out anyone trying to modify or build on this.

To keep the layout responsive, you can assign the images you post with some extra CSS. Instead of width, use max-width.
